It’s time you take 12 minutes to change your mind. Or, at least, to challenge your current thinking enough that your mind might be changed.
Watch this video! It’s a 12 minute analysis of education by Sir Ken Robinson. He has some things to say you need to hear. And, not just if you have children in school or hope to have children some day. We all need to hear this…and act accordingly.
Robinson, if you listen closely, will challenge what you think you know about education on nearly every level.
So give it a go…as they might say in merry England. After all you’ve arrived at Secret School of Business because you had questions. You’re wondering if there is another way. And you suspect….better yet, you hope there is. Because you know the old way isn’t working.
The story we were told about work hard + do well + get a college degree = a good job ISN’T WORKING. And the sequel, “get an graduate degree = an even better job” ISN’T WORKING all that well either.
Here’s your homework: watch carefully, make a note or two. Then return in 30 minutes and watch Sir Ken a 2nd time. Make a grocery list of everything you find yourself nodding to. Stop the video when you need to. Capture it all! Read what you wrote. Read it again.
Feeling something changing? Good. But remember….there is no Secret School of Business!
